Female body wax services: Full & Intimate Waxing
We provide full body waxes, arms, legs and bikini line & intimate areas. For intimate areas, we offer
both Brazilian (leaving a small amount on the pubic mound, the shape of which can be your choice of
triangular, square or oblong) & Hollywood (full removal of all the hair in the intimate area). Once we
have discussed your requirements, we will begin by cleansing the areas to be waxed. We mostly use hot
and hard waxes at Look’s, depending on the area to be treated; both types are extremely effective. Hot
wax uses melted wax, which is applied while still warm, and is spread evenly onto the skin. This allows
the wax to cover and surround the hair for removal. Hard hot wax hardens in place as the wax cools
and no strips are needed. The wax then moulds onto the skin and grips at each individual hair strand.
Whether soft or hard hot wax, it is then pulled out quickly, in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
Waxing aftercare is also given at the time of your appointment.

Full & Partial Massage Treatments
Swedish Massage
When most people hear the term massage, the first word that generally springs to mind is Swedish,
which is the basis of most massage styles practiced today. One of the primary rules of a Swedish
massage is that the majority of subtle pressure strokes are directed toward the heart to enhance the
blood flow. improve your circulation, soothe your muscles and make you feel more relaxed. It uses
softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is
thicker muscle coverage. This adjustment of pressure makes it an ideal massage for relaxation. Besides
the calming benefits, Swedish massage is thought to be beneficial for:

Easing muscular strain by flushing out toxins.

Improving the body’s circulation by increasing oxygen flow in the blood.
3.
Helping to keep the ligaments and tendons supple.

A reduction of emotional and physical stress.
Sports Massage
As the name suggests this therapy is designed to prevent and treat injuries, improve flexibility, and
enhance athletic performance. Sports massage can be used by athletes of all abilities to prepare for or
recover from sporting events. The idea behind the sports massage is to manipulate the body's soft
tissues, and focus on certain muscle groups depending on which sport is being played.
In sports massage, the strokes are generally more vigorous than a typical Swedish massage. The
therapist may also include compression, pressure point therapy, friction, and joint mobilization.
Hot & Cold Stone Massage
As the name implies, a hot stone massage uses heated stones. The massage therapist places warm,
smooth stones on specific points on the body and also holds the stones while giving the massage.
The stones are usually basalt (a volcanic rock that retains heat well). The warmth of the smooth
stones can be quite relaxing. Also, heat has been shown to relax tight muscles, so the hot stones
allow the therapist to relieve areas of muscle tension quickly.
If you have certain medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, or
varicose veins, you should check with your doctor if you plan on having a hot stone massage. You
should also discuss this with your masseuse to make them aware, even if your GP/Nurse has
advised the treatment will be beneficial.
This therapy uses a contrast between hot and cold. The stones are heated in hot water and then
placed strategically on the body to provide heat and enhance circulation. It may also include
alternating with stones that have been cooled in a freezer to create a stimulating effect.
Sometimes the stones are used as instruments for deep tissue massage, and it is also common for
some spas to incorporate the use of essential oils to add to the overall luxury feel of this type of
relaxing massage.
Plasma Skin Tightening
Often described as Plasma Fibroblast Therapy or Plasma Skin Tightening, this is a newer technique
within the non-surgical range of beauty treatments. It's a technique that can tighten the skin without
the need for invasive cosmetic procedures.

Sweat Treatment (Hyperhidrosis of the axillae armpits )
Heavy sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis) is a very real and embarrassing problem, but there are

The process offered at Look’s Beauty is injections into the armpits. The therapist will conduct an
assessment/consultation to assess the suitability of this procedure, which includes standard forms to
complete. Whilst this is a proven and effective treatment for hyperhidrosis, it is not a cure.
Fat Dissolving
At the salon our practioners use Aqualyx™. This is a water-based solution that is injected into the fatty tissue. It surrounds the cells and destroys them. The remains of the fat cells are then excreted by the body safely as waste. The shades vary from light, to medium, dark to extra dark are available and it generally takes less time than queuing for a cup of tea/coffee these days!
